Zapier Integration

Ranch Bookings has recently added an integration with Zapier to easily automate work and information flow.

Zapier is easy automation for busy people allowing you to easily automate how information flows between web apps, so you can focus on your most important work. 

 

To get started go to the settings tab on your Ranch Bookings page, go to the App Store section and select "Utility Apps". Zapier will let you plug Ranch Bookings into thousands of apps - SMS messages, weather, google, etc. 

First, select "Install" and you will be taken to the Zapier site to create an account. Once you are logged in you will be taken to our application listing called "Check-in Sherpa". We will be using that name more and more as we get interest from adventure resorts outside of the Guest and Dude Ranch Industry. 

Accept the invite and create a "Zap". A zap is what Zapier calls their automation - i.e. sending info from Ranch Bookings to an SMS message. 

Creating a zap is pretty simple, you simply create a trigger and response, "When this happens, Do This". (timestamp 1:35)

When this happens - search for the Check-in Sherpa App and select your trigger. We have several available for you to choose from. (timestamp 2:20)

*You will be redirected back to Ranch Bookings to authorize the integration. 

Do this -  choose the app you would like to integrate with. In our example video, we link with Google Sheets (timestamp 3:30)

*You will be asked to sign in to your google sheets account - you won't need to do this every time, but for the first time you will need to log in. 

Next, you will select or create a google spreadsheet that you would the information to flow into. If you created a new spreadsheet, you will go back to Zapier and select the newly created spreadsheet.  (timestamp 6:00)

Next, you will test your "zap" to make sure it is working properly. Once the test functions how you would like, you can move it to live. (timestamp 7:15)
